I'm in a reading lull. I don't want to invest too much time into a lengthy story if it's not going to be good, and I went to "what i should read next.com" and "which book.com" and so far, I'm not too sure. Tell me your favourite books and why you like them, please. To give you an idea, I'm 22, female, etc. These are the ones I've really liked recently.
-World War Z
-Twilight
-Sookie Stackhouse books
-Sunshine (Robin McKinley)
- Philippa Gregory books
- Ugly/Pretty/Special/Extra
- Elizabeth Omnibus
- Anne Rice (Queen of the damned, Vampire Lestat, etc)
- Classics like Jane Austen
- Time Traveler's Wife
Books I didn't like or are not interested in reading:
-Meg Cabot
-Anything about rich snobs or anything about people leading 'fantastic' drama filled lives in this special academy where people get either A) bitten and turned into vampires B) are losers that shoot into popularity C)are popular but have this "terrible, terrible secret, that no one must know or else they'll just keel right over and die."
I was thinking of my next reading adventure to be Lovely Bones, My Sister's Keeper or another great zombie book.
I don't know. Let me know!
Haha -- who hasn't read Harry Potter? or Life of Pi? but thanks, though.
That Lisa See book looks like an interesting read, thanks!
I also heard "Pillars of the Earth" too, was pretty OK.
