I have been suffering from moderate acne (I say moderate, but in my mind, it is severe) since the beginning of puberty, that was like six years ago. I am nearly 20 and am seeing absolutely no end in sight...

I have tried tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar, aloe vera, lemon juice, pure water, honey anything natural I have read about I've tried. I have also been taking evening primrose oil for the past six months in hopes of balancing out my hormones and thus relieving my acne - no improvement so far.

I eat a very healthy diet, almost all vegetarian, lots of fish, no gluten, dairy or soy because of allergies, very little sugar, drink almost exclusively water and hemp milk.... I just don't know what else to try... It is bad enough that I naturally look like I'm 14, I don't need acne aiding in that.... can you tell I am fed up with this??? :) Also, it really plays on my self-esteem, I am shy as it is and this only makes me even more self-conscious about meeting people as well as just my body in general...

So any other suggestions about what I can do to try and relieve my acne would be GREATLY appreciated! I don't buy into conventional medicine so I don't plan on using medication or antibiotics to relieve my acne if at all possible...

thanks!

do you have any naturapath docs in your area? Hormones were the main cause of my acne. BCPs helped a great deal but when i went off of them, it came back. I still have to take a couple days of progesterone (progon b) because my progesterone drops too quickly and i will get a headache.

I would like to start off by saying that your diet is really good. Okay, I am not an expert or anything, but I healed my acne without the help of a derm. Drinking ACV diluted (all natural brand of course) is really good. Also, What are you currently using on your skin? Try This:

1. Aloe Vera Acne treatment soap (natural brand)

2. Diluted ACV with a cotton ball (gently swipe on skin)

3. ANd an oil free moisturizer. (I don't moisturizer, my skin does not really get dry, but I've heard that moisturizing is good).

4. Excerise

5. Drink ACV 3 times per day

6. Drink blended Tomato, cumcuraber and carrots. Daily. without sugar

That is some of the things I did, I am nineteen also, And I have had acne since I was 13. Just trying to help. Wish you all the best!
