Any good recent serial killer movies?

I love a gruesome serial killer v. detective film, but it occurs to me that it's quite a while since I saw a new one.

Any recommendations for recent (last couple of years) ones?

Foreign language films are fine. Thanks!

It divided people upon its release, but 'Mr Brooks' was a good serial killer thriller with a particularly good turn from Kevin Costner. I think its on Sky Movies Premiere from Saturday too.

Also, if serial killer thrillers are your thing then i highly recommend the TV show 'Dexter'.

I thought Mr Brooks was a complete pile of horse manure. Still, each to his own. It was the ridiculous
daughter turning into a killer
part that made me despise it's existence.

I'm not sure if anything decent has been released lately, but if you haven't seen them I'd recommend
Dahmer
Citizen X
Monster

Avoid Zodiac at all costs.

There was a good one on the TV the other night called "The Riverman", about the Green River killings, Cary Elwes was excellent as Ted Bundy who was consulted about the killings by the investigating detective in a Red Dragon/ Silence of the Lambs kind of way.

The best one I've seen in years though is a Korean film called "Memories of Murder".

I think "The Card Player" by Dario Argento is quite good. Do a search and you'll probably see mixed reviews. Some liking it, others slating it.

Yes, I've just been re-watching the 1st season of Dexter, which I really enjoyed, apart from his sister. She is so OTT and juvenile, I can't believe she's employed as a cop. When she got a marriage proposal, she practically started hyperventilating.:) I just find her irritating.

I'll look out for those 2.

Have you seen a German film called 'Antibodies'?

It's about a serial killer who is even more manipulative than Hannibal Lector, and who takes the detective interviewing him into hell.

There is a strange scene in the picture which tenRAB to split viewers about whether it works or not.

That's quite alright :)

His last few films have been rather terrible, just hope Giallo turns out well...

I would recommend Sleepless over The Card Player.

Someone mentioned Memories of Murder, fantastic, based on true events in Korea.
