Any good books to read?

I'm 12 years old and I love to read books...I like drama, comedy, maybe some romance and a little adventure. And no, I don't like those girly books that are only like 100 pgs long. I read books that are about 300 - 500 pgs long. And not the Twilight series. Read it already and it's...okay. So what books would you recommend?

I take it you're a girl? I would recommend His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. If you're not into fantasy then perhaps some Agatha Christie (crime). The Hobbit, Chinese Cinderella, Holes, Little Women, The Diary of Anne Frank, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Day of the Triffids.
