any experts out there on fords?...?

i have a 2003 f250 and it started making a noise. Its making this rattling noise..... tsst tsst tsst ....lol. but only when going up hill. A mechanic said that the gas tank had to be clean. It was but it still has the noise. I don't know what it is.. Please help. I really don't want to take it to the ford dealership.. I will if i have to. ;O)
oops... i forgot to mention that it is 6.8 v10 -- gas
i love ford trucks and i take care of mine.. just like any vehicle it will have problems eventually. and this is my truck's first time to make a "funny noise".
 
Ok i know alot about ford's, and you need to tell wether its a gas or diesel, and which motor. But the best thing would be to take it to the dealership, they know yor truck better than anyone else.

The important thing to remember is to Fix Or Repair Daily.
And that sometimes the Flubber Only Runs Downhill.
When it is backwards Driver Returns On Foot.
