Wait if you can, the new model will likely come out late Summer or early Fall since the 65nm CPU shrink is delayed until Summer.

There won't be a price drop unless sales really slow down or they switch to the 65nm model to reduce cost. After that, they might cut by like $50 or something, which would put a Core 360 at the cost of a Wii (granted Core is absolute shit value for the money compared to Premium).

THere's the key words.... there's no validity to their claims. Shit, there's neurotical fanboy's out there that go and post on other people's boards just to make it seem like the system fails alot.
