Any clues who this painter was?

I have to do some research for a school project. I wasn’t really listening but it was some geezer who did a painting called the Moraliser or something. I think his name was Leonard O’… something. (probably an Irish chap) Any clues?
 
That would be Leonardo DaVinci, and he painted, among other things, the Mona Lisa
