I was wondering have there been any TV series out there that were cancelled before all the episodes of said season of the series had been complete and they had literally stopped before an actual finish?
I know that the TV animated series "Dungeons and Dragons" was suddenly cancelled when in fact a three part finale had been written. But have there been any live-action TV series thatw ere cancelled say whilst episodes were being filmed and the season wasn't complete?
If any of that makes any sense?

I'm gone 30 minutes and I get so many responses. To clarify, I mean a series that was cut short BEFORE the series was scheduled. e.g. a series was meant to have 12 episodes altogether but filming was stopped halfway and the audience only got to see 5 episodes with 7 being unfilmed and unproduced.
Although "Pushing Daisies" was canceled, for example, it had a series finale. It lasted to the end of that series and you got ro see every episode planned. I'm looking for programmes that ended before it's scheduled ending.
Basically, I'm writing a story in which two actors star in a fading TV series. I want the ending to be that suddenly it was cancelled before the scheduled end and I wanted to know if that was possible and if it had happened in the past :-D
