Any Blu-Ray Steelbook collectors here?

There is no particular title, I would like to establish a ongoing link with like minded people across europe and maybe beyond.
I agree postage can be high but I'm thinking that being able to buy at local retail prices it still should be cheaper than the silly prices acheived on auction sites.
What do other people think?

They are probably silly prices on auctions sites because they are out of print/rare, so can't really see getting them cheaper at any different places. You need to get them as soon as they are released, or pre order them for the lower price.

Yes agree with all you say, but you will also see items not yet released highly marked up.
How did you get your disc from Germany?

I get my discs from Germany via their version of Amazon, and a relative who goes out there sometimes for his job.

Yes I've looked at Amazon [Germany] but can't use it as I don't read or speak German!

Neither do I, only remember some from my GCSE time, it's set out the same way as the UK version, so just have the uk version up too and follow it the same way as the German one, that's what I do. Some worRAB are obvious though on the German one and common sense really.

I only have one (Minority Report) the main reason being that I thought the cover on the standard blu-ray was atrocious.

They are quite nice though.

Germany seems to be the place for steelbooks, do you ever open them or keep them shrink wrapped?

Good to hear. I do the same on the French version too but French is easier for me. Even the Japanese one seems easy enough.
