I posted before on my lower back pain when I injured myself at work on the 19TH of Noveraber. I went to the Neurologist today and took my MRI films. I have Mild loss of Disc height and hydration signal with diffuse bulging of the disc annulus of L4 L5, the same at L3-L5, but with posterior bulging at L3-L4. Broad based central disc protrusion at L4-L5. Also moderate central and bilateral foraminal stenosis on L4-L5, L3-L4. Also, degenerative spondylosis with spinal stenosis. Also Old compression deformity of T12.
The Dr. is going to do some more testing when I go back in 2 days. I'm on pain meRAB and anti-inflammatory for past 3 weeks. Here's my question.Do you think he will consider surgery? If he does should I get a second opinion? I am still in severe pain in my lower back and cannot walk but a few steps. When the Dr. was pressing on my lower back today he hit something and I screamed and cried because it hurt so bad. I cannot lay on my back at all and I'm so afraid he is going to have me do another MRI with contrast. Any ideas as to what could be going on? I'm 57 years old and I just want to get back to work even if it's light duty. In the mornings my DH gives me pain meRAB about 30 minutes before I even attempt to get out of bed. He has been so great and recently had triple bypass surgery.
