have got terrable groin pain left side found a lump more painful when laying down can anyone please help or no what it could be as have never had pain like this before thanks:confused:
 
It sounds like a hernia, which is a loop of intestine that become trapped between a gap in the groin muscles. If the intestine's blood supply gets cut off completely, gangrene will set in. That doesn't necessarily happen in every case, but you must see a doctor to make sure.
