My boyfriend of two years is joining the army as an engineer. I am 19 turning 20 in a month and he is 19 as well. I am attending college to be a kindergarten teacher. We have talked about getting married around 23-25, but are now thinking about getting engaged after his basic training and married before he gets deployed. I'm not really worried about marrying at a young age though people always make a big deal about age. I know it will be hard being married to someone in the army as well as being married at a young age. Both my parents were in the army and my father is now in the national guard. I would just like advice from women who are experiencing the same thing or is an army wife. And how they deal with the issues that come with marrying a soldier.
