Depending on the severity you could start with your general practitioner. He can prescribe you medication if needed. If it is more severe you may need to see a psychologist or a psychiatrist (who can prescribe medication). Anxiety can be related with other disorders that may need to be dealt with also.

Yes, thanks for the response. I have see my primary care doctor and he gave me Cyrabalta (I'm not depressed however) but said this will help with the anxiety. It was terrible, gave me hot flashes and made my brain feel like it was on fire. I would like to get help without medication. Sometimes I just feel like medication is a temporary solution to the problem.

You could go to a doctor, psychologists (alothgh a psychologist cannot prescribe anything but they do help), psychiatrist. Any of these doctors can help you.

I used to first see a counselor for anxiety, then got referred to a psychiatrist for the actual medication. Now I just receive my meRAB from my gynecologist, haha. I used to take Cyrabalta from the old doctor and it didn't work out for me (weight gain, too tired, not happier at all, no energy whatsoever) and heard good things about Prozac and love it. Many doctors can prescribe your anxiety medication if you ask them! You just might want to see a specialist if you have more detailed questions about it.
