Long story short: we're both freshmen in college, im not religious and he's an antioch orthodox christian. We hooked up (didnt actually have sex, but spent the night together) the first night we met and the second, he texted me constantly for a week straight and we hung out, asked me to movies, etc., told me that meeting me made his weekend, told me how cute i was and how special i was, super flirty, you get the idea. Told me he had never gone that far that fast wtih soemone he just met. Then one day a week after we met he told me that he had considered asking me out and really liked me but wasn't ready for a relationship right now...so we had to just be friends even though he still really liked me , wanted our realtionship to stay the same but we had to stop hooking up b/c it wouldnt be fair to me if we kept hooking up if we werent in a relationship. Also, he has become a heavy drinker and i dont drink at all...
so my question is, do you think this has to do with his christian faith? perhaps guilt for "sinning"? i cant think of any other logical explanation for him wanting to just be friends if he told me he still really likes me
