Hey Guys,
I need some advice…………I have been suffering from anxiety since the end of January mainly focusing on my health, so about 3 months. I have had some shocking days, spending days in ER rooms, doctors offices, looking up my symptoms on Goggle (never a good idea). It all started in when I woke up with chest pressure, well in my mind I was dying (I’m only 26)…………… fast forward to today the chest pains are still there and I have done all the tests, plus many more!!!! All have come up clear........
I want to get on top of this before it gets any worse. I have had so many other physical symptoms (other than chest pain) that I cant imagine going through the rest of the year feeling like this!!!! Im currently under the belief i have some serious diease (such as MS) that remains undetected!! which Im sure most health anxiety sufferers believe!!
I have been seeing a psychologist........had a few sessions………. She suggested I start on anti-depressants. I am exercising (well trying to) every day, I am reading a few books on anxiety, I not drinking alcohol, I am trying to meditate, having baths to curb stress, trying to get an understanding and using CBT.
Now my question is anyone else suffering from Health Anxiety and what has helped you deal with it? Have anti-depressants helped?? If so which ones? Any other suggestions? Any herbal solutions?
