Antibiotics not exactly helping?

I went to the doctor the other day to get antibiotics for my ear piercing infections in my left ear. It ended up helping and it's pretty much back to normal but now, my right ear is swollen, red, and infected. Should the antibiotics be helping this too? Or prevent it?

I'm pretty confused and I really don't want to deal with the infections anymore.
 
i don't know what kind of a place you went to for your piercings but don't go back there.
you need a different or stronger antibiotic since it seems the bacteria must have mutated or developed an immunity from your antibiotic
