Hello,
I was gutted recently hearing about the issues surrounding the application of an Islamic school in Camden.
The uproar associated with this was appauling with some of the implied inuendo suggesting that this was just a meeting ground for young terrorists. I am a baptized Christian but "born again" agnostic and struggle to see how a muslim school was likely to promote extremism any more than the Catholic schools I went to all my life? (Remember that historically the worst terrorists have been Christians).
If Islamic schools are wrong and should not be permitted in Australia, why should we permit private schools dedicated to any religious denomination?
Surely by treating muslims with such contempt will only fuel hatred?
