following a bit of a cold 8 weeks ago ish, I have had a stabbing cramp like pain in my right side, at the bottom of my rib cage, I've had a scan for gall stones, which was all clear and the dr has given me propantheline which is doing nothing. The pain is worse after I've eaten, especially hot food, and is more or less constant.... Its driving me mad, does anyone have any idea what it might be?

They are treating you for an ulcer, and the med you are on is pbviously not working if the pain is worsening. I would go back to the doc and see if they want to do an endoscopy. Check for reflux, esophageal spasms, hiatal hernia, or confirm a stomach or duodenal ulcer. You said the pain worsens when you eat, is it immediate or delayed, if so how long? Is the pain anywhere else or just right side at lower ribs?
