Another Wii Component vs. Composite Looks good!

interesting...My wife just called me and told me she found them online and I told her to not buy them I want to find a good component switch...I'm already down 2 component spots....I'll suffer w/ composite for now

Mine will be here today also.

I have one of these:

It was about $100 a BB. You can label the inputs and it is remote controlled (and works well with the Harmony 880)

Asked this in another thread. Want to ask it here also.

I have an older Toshiba CRT TV. The picture is great but it is at least 8 years old. It does have componant connections. I don't know if the TV is EDTV.

Would I probably still get a better picture using them?

can anyonw link me to where i can get a wiiponent cable i looked on nintendos site but all i saw were chucks and classic controllers

It's really nice (for a game selector that is). If you don't want to shell out $400 for a new A/V receiver (or like me have way too many sources) it's a good solution. It has composite, component, s-video, analog audio, toslink, and ethernet connections for each of it's 4 inputs.

Can't say I totally understand the need for the ethernet...but it sounds cool

My setup audio wise is fux0red...I need rear wireless and the panasonic HTIB I have now is meh and doesn't have dick for inputs.

If you have multiple systems that have a wired ethernet connection and you don't have a hub near by. That way you would only have to run 1 ethernet cable rather than one for each.

Pelican also sells (or sold ) a nice 8 input switcher that was a little less but it does not have a remote or a display screen.

I know this is for the wii and those screen shots are amazing how much a difference they make.

I was curious i have monster cables hocked up to my ps3 from my ps2. In s-video. Will it be a big difference to run component cable to the ps3?

Yeah but my tv for the moment is a 24inch sony crt with component hock up. If i had hdmi defently get those. But for now im wondering to stick with the s-video or get some component cables.
