I've decided sometime this Spring to get my first carbon fiber bike. My budget is about 2K and I've got the following contenders:
-Specialized Roubaix 09 Elite
-Specialized Tarmac 08 Comp (gerolsteiner color)
-Trek Madone 4.5
- Giant Defy Advanced 09 (haven't seen one yet)
- Cannondale (?) haven't been to cannondale shop yet.
My goal is to have a bike that can climb like a goat, but comfortable enough for a long ride. My goal is to do Ride the Rockies someday; so something that can take me couple hundred miles but able to climb as well. Currently I'm liking the 09 Roubaix w/triple but if anyone throws in suggestions that would be great, or pick what you think is pretty good as well.
