SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Another victim from the crash of an Asiana Airlines Boeing 777 in San Francisco last weekend has died of their injuries, officials said Friday -- bringing the death toll to three.
Officials announced the latest victim's death late Friday afternoon.
Earlier, authorities said one of the teenage girls who died at the scene last Saturday was hit by a fire truck -- although it's not clear whether that killed her.
Coroner's officials are still trying to determine the girl's cause of death, but police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy confirmed that she was hit by the truck. He said the girl was on the ground and covered in foam that had been sprayed by fire crews.
Asiana Flight 214 collided with a rocky seawall just short of its intended runway at San Francisco International Airport. Two Chinese teen girls were killed at the scene and dozens of others were injured, although most suffered only minor injuries.
Investigators have said the plane came in too low and slow.
