Another reason for MetroPCS and LEAP (Cricket ) to combine

Understand something, you don't have to be authorized to sell something if you are paying full price for the service, that is I'm not getting any wholesale pricing or direct contact with cricket, We have to stand in line at a cricket location and wait for them to activate the phones for us. The owner of that location knows who I am and he is happy about that. I'm authorized so sell other services including boost but many of our customers want cricket because of the unlimited minutes (of course). But now that boost is going to launch a similar service you think I'm going to stand in line for cricket, I'll rather sell boost and forget about what has happened (read my previous post).
I'm happy for Boost :2thurabs:

sero does not include unlimited text. although i just checked and they have a special to get unlimited text for only $10 a month. not a bad deal for $40, if 500 minutes is enough for you.

Couple questions before I explain myself:

Are you Cricket customers?
or Do you do have a business relationship with Cricket or any service providers?

I know first hand that the customer is not always right... and i'm not speaking from a customer perspective only...

I am really glad to hear you say that. about Boost I mean.

YOU understand something. It is not ok for you to resell Cricket just because you have stood in line to get it. You must be an authorized reseller with a dealer contract. Your dealer friend will be in hot water with Cricket if he gets caught knowingly supplying you with phones for this purpose and you yourself could face legal action.

Glad to hear youre giving up on Cricket. We really don't want "dealers" like you any way. Good luck with Boost. What market are you in again?

I ama cricket customer.

I work in telecom with experience working for almost all major cell and landline providers.

The public does not understand how telephone systems work, they just take it for granted that it should and will work anywhere. They do not realize FCC and other federal restrictions on things along with time-tables.

I'd love a cell phone company with only email support. Then I wouldn't have to decipher their poor english on the phone:)

ok i had this really great response typed up but the power went out and god peed on my building and there was flooRAB and stuff... but woof pretty much said it.

you're free to sell any product you want legally in your store. what you can't do is activate on behalf of a customer at another store or anything like that. you're acting as an agent of cricket, which you're not, and your dealer friend is about one step away from operating a sub-dealer location that is not on his contract.

what i'd recommend is to flash phones for people and send them to the other dealer or work out something with him in the way of paying you for referrals. there's a dealer by one of my stores that was terminated for one reason or another and he still flashes phones and fixes phones and yes corp still senRAB people to him because he can fix a lot of phones that are out of waranty. everyone that he flashes (their phones you sickos!!) he senRAB them to me (even though corporate store is actually on the same street on the way towarRAB my store) to activate. (and he charges a lot more for "flashing" than we do). everyone is happy. i collect my activation fee, cricket is getting customers, and he's making money from flashing. so if you want to do that they shouldn't have any problem with it. if you want to sell cricket service yourself you'll need to find a location that cricket is ok with and set up shop there. if you don't want to do that then go sell boost and make crap on the phones.
