Another question about the single payer health care system?

This is completely hypothetical; you can go along with it if you want. Thoughtful answers only please!

Let's say UHC gets bogged down in bureaucracy and they begin to ration health services, drugs, etc. Do you think it's possible that bureaucratic-controlled doctors will perform forced abortions (even on wanted pregnancies) because they're cheaper than prenatal care plus the cost of a delivery?

Costhelper.com says that patients without insurance usually pay between $9,000 - $17,000 for a vaginal delivery of a pregnancy that hasn't had any complications. C-sections averaged out at between $14,000 - $25,000. A quick skim of Google results for abortions ranged between $375 - $530. I didn't see anything higher than this. Send me a link if you do find something higher.

I realize that if it ever came to this, that a woman in this situation (who wanted the child) would probably avoid the doctors/quacks like the plague so she could have the child.

Again, this is hypothetical. I think it's possible. What do you think?

Why don't you look at what actually goes on in countries that have a single-payer system. They have much lower rates of abortions than we do. They also have lower infant mortality rates and longer life expectancies. Your hypothetical is ridiculous.
