another question about betta fish?

i know i already asked another question about betta fish and i have pretty much figured out how too take care of them. I am just wondering when i change the water in the tank do i have to put half of the new water or can i just change it all at once?
also i have a pot full of water right now. i want it too be at room tempurature.
 
You can do a full water change. I would at least keep a cup of the original water to put back in when you are done cleaning the tank. Make sure you clean out the rocks when you do a full water change too. (If you use rocks or gravel) To make cleaning rocks and gravel easy I dump them in a strainer and rinse them out. Remember to clean the tank once a week. Also if you use tap water make sure you use a conditioner to take out all the chlorine and other chemicals in the water. EDIT: If the tank is under 2 gallons then do a full water change and if it's over 2 gallons then do a 25% water change weekly.
