'Morning Routine'
I wake up one morning
With a sighing and yawning
Raising my hands to the day
I make up my bed
And tidy my head
Thinking oh, well come what may
I butter the toast
Like the perfect host
A spoonful of jam on the side
I brew up the tea
One for you, one or me
And think of the times that you lied
You munch down your food
No thank you-oh how rude
And head out the door to your car
You fill up the boot
And analyse your route
But I know that you’re not going far
I start washing up
Wash a plate, wash a cup
Wash a fork, wash a spoon, wash a knife
I go to the driveway
To wish you a good day
Then do it- take the plunge- take your life.
