Another one needing advice

I'm currently with Verizon and am switching to Cingular in a couple of months; I live in the Memphis, TN market. I've looked at a number of phones (all from Cingular) both in stores and on the web at such places as WirelessAdvisor, PhoneScoop and CNET. Went as far as to make a spreadsheet with the options offered on each one. The price with a service contract is something I'll have to consider but I'm willing to spend a little since I know I'll be stuck with it for 2 years. I've looked at Nokia, LG, SE, Samsung, Motorola and checked all on CNET but think I'm more confused. CNET will give their rating and then offer the users view which can be quite different. There are many factors to be considered.

Any opinions on phones with Cingular will be greatly appreciated; The following are in my range -SE W300i, Sam C417, D407, D807, SYNC, LG C2000, C225, U400 and 500, Motorola's L2, L7, L6 and V3. That's a few phones so you can give details or say good, fair, suxs, don't pass it up, etc.

I'm getting headaches now, thanks!

Mainly making calls but I do text some. The email and internet is not something I'm into with a phone neither is a camera. I'm looking for good solid functionality, clarity and battery life. External display with caller id, speakerphone and bluetooth are the main 'wants'; the rest are extras that I can take or leave.

I have a Samsung d807 and find it works pretty well for what I need. Battery life is decent, call quality is also good. Has the other "wants" as well.
