sorry i get annoying with these questions but you know how it is with big decisions....ok my question:

so i have been trying to join the army for about a year, something always gets in the way, family situations, gf stuff etc. but most of all i have been overweight. first time i weigh in at was like 257 pounds. according to my height and my neck to waist ratio i needed to weigh a maximum of 250 is what my srgt said. i went back after awhile weighing 251-ish and he said i was good. then some things came up and i hadnt seen him for awhile but ive been excersising and im down to about 244 im wondering has my neck gone down, and or is my srgt full of shit on my weight cuz 244 and 5ft 11 and a half inches seems a little high. thx in advance.......
Mostly wondering if 244 pounds with about 6ft is acceptable. i dont look fat or anything im actually quite healthy im pretty active and im not sure why i weigh so much....

My husband is Navy and before he left in Feb we had do deal with this for about 3 months. He is 6'2" and I know for the Navy his weight limit at height is 211. You also have to be within a certain body fat percentage. I would go in and ask another recruiter because that seems really high to me. I think all the branches have the same weight requirements. I could be wrong though.

I don't know man. I know im 6'2 and im allowed to way at most like 202 before i get taped. As long as you can pass your pt test and pass tape you should be good.
