Just when I think I've run out of things to bitch about (mainly my fucked-up school), I realize I'm not even close to running out of ideas.
Now it's my Desktop Publishing class.
Our teacher(s) (there are two rooms) insist on showing us fucking horrible movies. I outgrew animated films 8 years ago, now I can't stand them. I'm talking about movies like 'Finding Nemo' and 'Shark Tale.' Toy Story and The Incredibles, those are another story.
They (the teachers) constantly bombard us with these horrible films. They then make a stupid-assed assignment where we have to design movie posters with our god-forsaken Macs. Over and over these pricks show them, and what pains me most of all is people actually laugh.
What the fuck? This is high school, where's the deeper, more complex things? We're not 5 you fucking morons, show us some goddamn movies like Donnie Darko, Full Metal Jacket, or Patton!!! I watched more "complex" movies in middle school, I remember watching 'The Last of the Mohicans" in US History for God's sake.
I also get the feeling I'm one of a very small number of people whose reading level is 12.9+ (maximum!), and has been that way since 3rd grade. I also find myself keeping back laughter as I see people my age struggling with elementary school level books.
