i read on a fish site that rummy nosed tetras are good to have in your tank as they are sensitive to water condition's and you can judge if there is something wrong if they lose the colour from their noses therefore they are a good indicator when your water is not tip top. and they regain their colour when things are ok
is this true or a load of baloney i have 4 rummy nosed and the only time the colour faded in their noses was when i added then to my tank after a couple of hours they reddened up again
