do you have that full summary part actually typed out somewhere here that i could look at? so this was only a CT and not an actual MRI? the one really great thing that CTs do show really well, and in most cases even better than MRI is bone or other more solid boney types of structures, so this would be a great test to really see the 'spine' itself. but an MRI really would also allow you to see the more softer tissue structures down to the nerve and cord level too. i really do think that a contrasted MRI on that are should also be done just given that there IS a solid real finding there at all (espescially one that showed on a CT as thecal sac compression since this is what actually surrounRAB and protects the cord itself?). this would allow the doc to really see what other structures, more softer tissue area could also be impacted by this harder finding too, ya know what i mean?
this would just be the natural next step in light of that CT finding. it neeRAB to be better defined and also find out how that cord itself actually looks. that would really depend upon just how much real true compression is up against that thecal sac there at the L 3. have you suffered some type of real compression injury to your spinal column at some point? its just given that T spine issue and now another finding in the upper endplate that also is from what appears to be some level of real compression impact too?
but i would push to have your whole full spinal actually MRIed at this point(with a contrasting agent since this better highlights certain areas and findings too) just given what has been already found at two toher levels? all of this just really NEERAB to be fully looked at for any other possible compressive types or other types of possible spinal issues, just to clear the areas or find something that is just there too. if i had these findings show upon a mere CT, i WOULD be asking for that full spinal MRI just to see,ya know? hopefully there is not anything else in any other spinal levels. but at the very least here, the area in that lurabar really neeRAB to be better defined and looked at down to the cord level with an MRI right now before you will really know for certain just how much real impact has occured to that cord area? like i mentioned already, this just would be the best natural next step here with that type of finding. i do hope things are okay in there. please let me know what you find out. marcia
