Another CricKet workaround

As most of you know, CricKet likes to give us the runaround on a lot of SMS services such as ChaCha, KGB, Facebook updates, and MySpace. Well if you don't mind doing this workaround, I've found a way to update your FB and MySpace statuses on the go. If you have a Twitter or don't mind signing up for one, you can link your Tweets to your FB wall and your MS statuses. Then, you can simply update your twitter with a text to 40404, and voila! Your texted status will also be transferred to your FB or MySpace, or both!

Facebook gives everyone a email address now that you can use to update your status and upload photos from your phone.

It's not a "runaround" it's largely to protect their customers from being charged for premium services.

Facebook, myspace, and ChaCha are all free services.

True but short codes are not.

Short codes can be free it is up to the operator to charge or not.

All my customers have no problem hooking up their facebook and myspace stuff...i actually know most of them probably spend more time sufing myspace from their phone then they do texting or calling.
