Another BEV price increase?

Sorry, but I'm wallowing right along with them. I bought the 9200 21 months ago and the bugs (playback stutter, jump to live,...) wear you down the longer they persist. Add to that the obvious degradation in video quality (I'm assuming due to compression) over the past 5 weeks and now a fee increase? I guess BEV needs some extra $$$ to pay their programmers to come up with better compression techniques so the NON-HD HD they deliver is less noticeable.

I'm also still with BEV only to eke out more time to "justify" the 9200 purchase. But show me a competitor's (I'm in Cogeco territory) dual tuner HD PVR that has similar features to the 9200 and actually works properly, and I'm out of BEV in a second.

My 3-year cell deal with Bell Mobility ended in September. I had no issues with them but am now in the process of switching cell providers because of my distaste with BEV's utter failure to deliver what they advertise ... and now slapping us with a fee increase to boot.

i never got a phone call after i called to cancel...i did however get a phone call earlier this week asking me why i left...i couldn't make out what he was saying though, as he coughed so loudly in my ear every 10 seconds, i actually thought it was a practical joke.

i don't care if they offered me 40% off for a year, at the end of the day, i would still have BEV service, and that is what i wanted to get rid of.

that is the same offer i have also been looking at...don't forget, if you get a home phone and internet package with it, you will also save 10% off the regular pricing when your promo price ends (after 12 months), most likely keeping the price similar to the 12 month promo price.

Just a reminder about the original purpose of this thread. It had nothing to do with cancellation policies. It was about the then upcoming price increase which is of course now history. (As maybe this thread should be?)

there's another good promo i am looking at...saturday may be the big day.

Aw, damn, dirtyj... my neighbour across the street recently gave me a dinosaur BEV receiver and dish new in the box along w/ cable and an installation kit because he moved in and didn't want it. I see this offer is for NEW customers only (which I am not!), and even so, they probably want to see proof that you sub'd to BEV to prevent hackers and FTA enthus. from cashing in.

Give dj a few more times to tell us why he left BEV for Rogers first. I just can't here that enough.

Are they offering anything like this for new customers? I'm fed up with Cogeco but its going to cost me quite a bit more for 15 more HD channels but quite a bit less in programming elswhere (significally more $ and less features regarding sports packages).
