Another BEV price increase?

Your right there. I think of the "Free CD"offer, with the hidden $14.95 Shipping& Handling charge.

If I remember correctly it came in as an e-mail message and an indicator on the receiver told you of a waiting message.

That is how it worked when I had Starchoice about 9 years ago. I still have my receivers, if I can only cut down a tree or two I caould try it and let you know....lol

PS. Not my tree's or they would have been firewood by now.....

Rogers now has the "VIP plus TMN" package right now for $62.99...that gives you the VIP package plus the TMN movie package...this package is comparable to about $80 with BEV...i won't get into the other things like On Demand, Free HD Channels and a far superior sports package option they also offer...think of those as bonus features.

I couldn't agree with you more. When I bought my first HDTV set in January 2003, I couldn't wait for 8.pm.to come along each night. I would watch some great shows one after the other just about every night of the week right up to the Tonight Shows. Now the current prime time programs are not that appealing, so much so I hardly bother to go down and watch HDTV in the HT in the basement.

No wonder the TV writers are on strike for most of the shows these days are "contests". You don't need writers to write scripts for a contest. If I wanted to watch "contests", I would watch Setanta soccer, but even then if it is a popular match up of some importance such as the England v Croatia game then it's PPV. The viewer just can't win, it would seem. The only people who gain with TV as it stands today are the advertising companies, and the more money they make the more control they will have over the industry at our expense. Now if BEV wants to add more grief to this scenario, then maybe it's time to seek alternatives.

Would the two of you please leave BEV already, and end our misery. The constant wallowing is getting old.

Price increase is 3$.

www.bell.ca/ratenotification

I received this in my Bell One Bill in which they managed to screw up my billing in both Internet and Television service.

I wish there was an alternative....

Touch tone is not regulated on me.
I don't have touch tone line my phone makes all the beeps I need .

$3 digital service fee ...

That is almost like the Network access fee the cell phone company charges that people are suing over....

DTV has extra receiver fees per receiver and PVR fees though. As does Dish Network.

with appologies to notsure

Just send me a check to cover the cost of my receivers and you can have them too.

Why should we pay for Touch Tone calling, whats wrong with the old dial type phones, don't they work any more....?

They will make an offer to any client who attempt to disconnect service, regardless of how long the've been with the compagny...

The offer will be different from a client to the other, the system allows a larger rebate to client's that have been with the compagny for a longer period of time. Also clients are not entitled to more than a certain amount of offer per year, so you can not call and threathen todisconnect every 3 months and get a 3 months free

That's exactly the plan I switched over to at Rogers. I've watched the price point difference between Bell and Rogers (for what we watch) steadily get closer and closer over the past few years of Bell increases and is now virtually the same (after the new $3 increase .. even more so). The free HD channels, On Demand and two free years rental with trade in of BEV receivers makes it an easy decision.
