Another Bad Mark for The PS3

I think the GT series died with GT4. It really didnt impress me that much. Graphically, it looked the same as GT3, and the AI still fucking sucks balls. Nowhere in the real world will all your opponents take the exact same fucking line around a track. I fucking hate it because once you learn their line there is 0 replay value in it because you know what they will do. I found myself B-specing about 80% of the races at 3x speed just because they werent fun or challenging to drive on your own. I'm still much more entertained by GT3.
 
thats the way i see it. for being a "core" system, you get all the features of the premium 360, plus blu ray. meanwhile the core 360 doesnt even let you save your game when you first get it. gotta buy a hd or memory card.... kinda lame
 
The only redeeming factor for me was the used car and historical sections. Drifting some shitty little car around the nurburgring is quite entertaining.
 
haha , man I really need to sleep, but from the looks of it I won't be able to. I just finished the first season of 24 for the first time ( I know under a rock in the series ) and im pretty amazed at it, and I have the 2-5 season on dvd's.
 
I was bored with GT4 as well. I spent a ton of time on GT3, earned every car and even had the lamborghini in the American version of the game. I even sold the game save on ebay to those who didn't want to spend all the time getting the cars. I probably made a couple grand selling the saves on ebay.

GT4 was boring to me and the save sale on ebay was ruined since you could get every car with the gameshark.
 
I won't pay $500, either. With as many issues and system failures I've been hearing about, there's no way I would drop $500 or $600 on a PS3. That's a real shame, since I was a huge fan of the PS1/PS2 (bought one of each on their launch dates, never had a problem with either one of them. No disc read errors, no nothin'). I hope that by the time Final Fantasy XIII comes out the PS3 price drops a bit, because as of right now that's the only reason I'm considering a PS3 purchase
 
I am pretty sure you can use just any old usb hdd with the 360. My brother is home now so I will try and use my 15gb ipod as the hdd. 3rd Gen one so the battery is basically toast and this would be a perfect use for it. If it works I will probably buy a 360 core.
 
just like with 360, i must have picked wisely. no one issue with 360 to this day. ps3, not one single problem, no jam ups or anything. played for 8+ hours the one day non stop and didnt have any ill effects
 
System failures? I haven't heard of any unless you are meaning blu ray failures which is the player not the system. The system freezes that im hearing of are only in stores because of a problem with the demo and its in that little jammed hardly any air box. So far hardware wise its a solid system. The software and price is what is hurting the ps3 right now. Like I said losing 2 of its bigger exclusive hits to be ported to the 360 and failing to even release a full game of gran tourismo will hurt it.
