Here are the most likely possibilities for the Anonymous "Raw" General Manager. Who do you think it might be?
"STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN: Since the Texas Rattlesnake hasn't been around WWE lately and he was one of their biggest money-makers of all time, it stands to reason that he could come back to raise hell one more time.
MICHAEL COLE: The entire thing may just be a ruse, and Cole himself could actually be the GM.
TRIPLE H: After all, the Game is married to the bosses' daughter. Maybe he will move into a more authoritative role with the position.
THEODORE LONG: The "Smackdown" GM could in fact now be the "Raw" GM, as a means of finally ending the brand extension. With the release of so much talent over the past few years, after a 9-year hiatus, WWE could be reunified into one single entity once again.
STEPHANIE MCMAHON: The bosses' daughter and the wife of Triple H, she could return to television in a big way, perhaps at the same time as her husband.
VINCE MCMAHON: The owner of WWE, it makes sense that McMahon would be the anonymous GM. It would be a good way to bring him back to television after being in a coma.
SHAWN MICHAELS: Since the Heartbreak Kid retired earlier this year, the Anonymous GM role would be an avenue for him to continue working with the company while not actively wrestling. Also, it makes sense that WWE would be waiting to reveal Michaels as the Anonymous GM, since he left in April and they want it to be a very big deal when he returns (though, again, not in a wrestling role).
"ROWDY" RODDY PIPER: Since the Hot Rod was on television lately, and also since he was mocked by The Miz for never winning the WWE Title, perhaps Piper will in fact come back to WWE television as the Anonymous GM to set things right.
WILLIAM REGAL: Since Regal has had authority positions so often in the past, and since he appears to be retiring from in-ring competition, what better way to stay relevant than to reveal himself as the "Raw" GM?
THE ROCK: Perhaps unlikely, since Dwayne has been trying to be a movie star for the past several years. However, this would be one possible way for The Great One to return to WWE without having to wrestle again.
JIM ROSS: Since JR has been gone from the announce table, the Anonymous GM role would be a way for him to get back on TV and seek revenge against Michael Cole.
NONE OF THE ABOVE: It could be someone else entirely, for reasons not yet known. However, it could not be anyone currently under contract with TNA: Hogan, Flair, Bischoff, Foley, etc. They would be unable to appear on WWE television unless their contracts expired or were purchased by WWE.
