so my coordinator at work decided this year to make it mandatory that every quarter, employees write detailed evaluations about every employee that work with and what they like or dislike about them (how they work, how they interact with other employees, how they interact with customers), have us place our notebook paper with these reviews in sealed envelopes and place them on her desk. After a week of personally reviewing these, she hands us each back an open letter with bullet points listing every good or bad thing that was said about us from other employees.
nobody i work with is excited about doing these evaluations. a couple months ago, we did these evaluations for the first time and it was like an anonymous burn book on every employee I worked with, including myself. for example, on my first evaluation one bullet point said, "very hard worker and learns fast" where another one would say "messes up orders and can be very slow" (i work in fast food and I messed up ONE order ONCE).
You never know who said what. I just dread these evaluations so much and after each evaluation, everyone gets suspicious of one another and its just one more stress i don't want to deal with.
I'm just wondering if what my coordinator does is a violation of anything.
