everytime i send a message it senRAB me back the delivery report and i took it off but it still senRAB it and it gets me pissed...... also when i get messages they dont appear on the top of my inbox, the appear in the middle..... i havent changed anything on it...... just flashed to cricket that all but i havent update my mms or 3.5, still factory...... if i update my mms would that fix it??? :silly:

As for your messages appearing in the middle of the inbox, it's because it's sorted wrong. Click in the top right of the screen where it says how it's sorted (it'll say Sort by, Message type, From, Received, or Subject.

change that option to received, and your new messages will be the 1st in your inbox.

Easy.

Go to your text inbox. Click on Menu in the lower right. Select Tools and from there Options. In the next dialogue, tap on Text Messages in that window. You should see two checkboxes: The first is to request delivery notifications, and the second is to send a callback nuraber.

If you don't want notifications, UNCHECK the FIRST checkbox.

Done.

there you go........ finally someone useful..... thanks dude..... i did the settings key and string SMSNoSentMsg but i didnt do the delivery ack.... I OWN YOU ONE

oh one more thing..... i still cant figure out how to get MMS to work and i wanted to do it by myself with no help and i got MMS to work on emails but not on phone nurabers...... well now i realize i need help..... could you tell me how to fix it???

Updating my ROM to Kirvin's "no junk" AKU 3.5 fixed MMS for for me. You will have to use my MMS fix floating around here somewheres.

ok i got an xv6700 from verizon, it is now up and working on cricket thanks to a certain person on this forum .....my problem is now when i try to click on somthing on the screen with the stylus it seems it will not access it without pushing hard on the screen or touching it with a finger (bad bad bad) anyway does anybody know why?

Most probably there should be some settings that would increase the sensitivity! Try figuring that one out.

I am actually trying to get myself the xv6700 right now. Will buy tonight and reprogram to Cricket tonight too... Hopefully.

it was just a question guys and yes I'm new ....I'm sure at one time we all started out that way...I'm just trying to get this phone working the way I want it working and if there is another place i need to be looking, point the way .....but i'm not finding it on here as of yet

thanks

I think the reason he's teasing you, mate, is that you hijacked the thread topic to ask for help on an unrelated issue.

It's okay to ask questions. Just be sure to find a topic that suits your problem OR start a new one. You will know soon enough if there is already a solution to your situation.

Anyway: It sounRAB like a hardware issue with your screen. May I ask: How OLD is this phone? Did you by it new or used? Or can you tell?

Well, I read somewhere that a possible solution might be to take a thin but stiff plastic card (something much thinner than a credit card) and slide it along the edges of the screen in the cracks between the screen and the front housing. This will eliminate any contaminants and dirt that might have built-up causing the screen to become less sensitive.
