Annoying barking/whining habit at night...?

My four and a half month old Aussie puppy sleeps with me in the bed at night, and usually she stretches out and sleeps all night (or at least until early morning), but she's recently picked up an annoying little habit of leaning over the foot of the bed and whining. If I scold her for it, she barks at me (complaining, I guess - she's at a bratty, challenging stage :P), which basically wakes everyone up in the house (she's got quite the voice...). If I just ignore her, she jumps off and sits under my desk and plays keepaway. She has two toys she loves in my bed, and she'll play with them for a little, but then gets disinterested and starts the whining again. Putting her in the crate isn't really an option since that's meant to be a fun place for her when we go out (filled with toys and such), not a place for punishment. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..
Unfortunately, she's already been obedience trained that the clicker means she was good and gets a treat, and I do think that she has figured out whining gets her attention, but she does it even after her agility class and numerous play sessions in the evening - if that can't tire her out, what else will?
Thanks for the answers so far!
Being an Aussie, she's just a loud dog in general - she barks all the time, and even more so to talk back. Believe it or not, puppies do go through bratty stages, just as children do - ever heard of terrible twos? Teenagers? And sleeping in my bed is not an issue - she has been accustomed to it since she was 6 weeks old. And she knows all of the basic obedience and a little more, as we've been taking classes and working at home since 6 weeks old.

Try a play time , walks, exercise in late evening before bed time to tire her out. She has learned whining gets attention when shes bored and not sleepy. Good book is Dogs for Dummies, may can get at library.
