Annoyed with Acne on neck and jaw

I have started breaking out in somewhat large painful bumps on my neck and jawline. These do not seem to be the "normal pimple".

I have been using tea tree oil and an apricot scrub that helped for a couple of weeks. Now it seems to be getting worse.

I have naturally oily skin and am 41 years old. I have cut my hair so it would not be on my face.

Any advice?
 
Do u happen to smoke? I know this is a wild shot but when I quit smoking (cigarettes & other herbs) I noticed my acne on my jaw,chin,neck just stopped. It wasn't regular pimples either. It seemed to be like cysts that were developing over and over. When one cleared up, another one popped up in its place.
 
yes, I do smoke cigarettes and the way you describe yours is exactly like mine. Mine actually started about a year ago and I have smoked for 12 years or so.

I know smoking causes lots of problems, but this is new to me.

Now I guess I need to post in the smoking cessation board.
