Anna Botting - Sky News

Probably not the right forum but anyway....

Is there anyone else sad enough to watch Sky News at this time of day and be treated to the magnificent Anna Botting? :D

She's just done an item about a guy who had a bear as his best man at his wedding and she cackled all the way through it and made little gags like "One swipe with those claws and it would have been a short honeymoon wouldn't it?" :D

Then she quickly put her serious face back on to tell us Pig flu is going to get us. Professional.

She's great - wasted on the late evening slots. She's so much warmer than the awful Kay Burley who seems to be the sweetheart of Sky News.

Big up to Anna Botting. :D :o

Sorry can't stand her ... ghastly woman , much prefer Paula Middlehurst or Anna Jones.

Kay Burley does appear to be the Queen of Sky News though ,as you quite rightly say..... she's been there long enough.

Anyone just seen the press preview with our Anna?

She was on with some guy from The Mirror and a Tory, going over a story about stem-cell research helping paralysed people to walk again. The guy from the mirror said how research was "coming on leaps and bounRAB" then went quiet and said "probably a bad pun when people are paralysed". All three of them were then sat unable to speak through fits of awkward laughter for what felt like ages.

Very unprofessional but very funny. I love Botting. :D

I love Steve Dixon on Sky News, but he made a terrible gaffe the other night when he was doing the newspaper reviews with Robin Gibb. :( He asked him if Maurice was watching. Robin had to reply he wasn't because he was dead.

I've always thought Anna Botting is a good news presenter. She's one of the few on Sky News that doesn't irritate me.

I was wondering why. I had to rewind my Sky+ to see what they were laughing at and thought it was quite insensitive to hear them laughing.

Skyn could do a great version of macbeth with their old cast !

Can't really stand Botting even if she was game enough to that reality rowing tosh on bbc3 once.

Another boring fact she likes the lake district , doesn't she have a 2nd home up there , near Leswick I think.

:D

They obviously weren't laughing at disabled people.

It was the realisation that he'd said something so unintentionally inappropriate that they and I found quite funny. *shrugs*
