The addition of Avatar is only going to foster the false perception that Avatar is an anime, but I find it cool that ANN was able to work it out with Nickelodeon.

Well actually, they asked on the ANN forums if the fans wanted it on there even if its not an anime and there was a unanimous "Yes" so yeah..
