I agree with you. Inyhasha's revival gives me hope. But I would love to see the anime continue, though I wouldn't bother redoing volume 1 - 12, what's done is done, I want to continue the story as soon as possible. The fact that they may have a new company license the manga in North America, and the dub airing on SyFy, could spark interest in North American, and maybe we can push the Japanese to continue it.

I at least want to get to the conclusion of the Silver Ray storyling, mainly because Musica / Reina is one of my favorite parings, and Reina is one of my favorites period, I loved the final part of the arc, I thought Reina's death was a beautiful scene.

And last but not least I would love to see Ranju in the anime. She is so funny, she is like an older version of Yachiru from Bleach.
 
Really? for me its the opposite. I really liked the tough, cold, get-the-job-done, no-nonsense Saya of the original animated movie. I had a hard time getting into Blood+ because of the lost-memories whiny overemotional pampered Saya of the series (in her past she was literally a spoiled princess!). In fact, though I grew to love Blood+ over time, I despise its version of Saya. The Blood+ manga is even worse (arg, so ditzy!)
I'd like to see a version that had movie Saya, the extended storyline of Blood+, and had the Schiff live. But that's just me living in la-la-land.

As for poorly done anime that I want re-done and more of.... Blame! the animation, what little there was of it, was nice. But the disc was done like a lost data disc... with incomplete files, no translation, and tiny bits and pieces of the manga. The menu is very difficult to navigate. I'd like a more straightforward anime, not this experimental thing. I loved the visuals of the manga... and seeing them actually in motion.. mmm.
 
There's a huge difference between the anime's ending and Shounan's beginning, though. In Shouhan, he is just laying low for a while until the cops lose interest in him, and forget about his offense (which he only just mentioned, anyways, and which cannot be proven in any way unless Urumi solidifies the claims that he made, which she probably won't do, since this is the point in the story wehre she has grown to like him, and really wants him to stay as a teacher). In the anime ending, he actually gets chased out of the entire country for taking the fall for a huge offense, which makes it much more implausible for him to be able to return back to teaching at school, by that sort of situations.



Well, that's just it, though. Its been so long, and there hasn't even been any announcement of a new anime coming out. You may be right aobut many people having read the manga, by now, but in those 10 years, perhaps too many people have also lost interest in seeing the rest of the story adapted into anime form. Its just that, if there was going to be an adaptation of the rest of the story into a new GTO anime, I think that it would've been done by now.
 
Hellsing gets an ongoing OVA series closer to the original storyline.

Fullmetal Alchemist gets a new TV series closer to the original storyline.

What does Trigun get? An out-of-continuity movie that's been in development hell for who-knows-how-long.
 
Well I really wish GetBackers would get given a second chance, I fet it was a really good show. They left it opean for a possible third season, but alas it only got two. I still enjoy watching both though.
 
Wow theres no mention of Berserk yet? It definitely neeRAB a new series. It barely touched the manga before it ended and had the worst ending ever.

Kenshin neeRAB a proper ending arc as well and if Togashi could ever get away from his games long enough to finish the Ant arc in Hunter x Hunter I'd love to see it animated.
 
Desert Punk. Watching it from start to finish, it just didn't end right.

And even though FLCL did finish since it was a six episode OVA, I don't see why another six episodes can't be created.
 
Yeah this. While I haven't read too much of the manga (which I probably should since I'm into samurai's.) I do know that the anime was horrid. The artwork looked nice but, the fighting was pitiful. (Sorry, I'm into fights and art moreso than story...) The fights just seemed so dull and stiff. Could've had better voices too. Although I do enjoy hearing Yugi say "Mumyo Jinpu Ryu" but, other than that... Ugh.

I'm also in the Rurouni Kenshin crowd. I've yet to see any episodes after the Shishio arc but, I have read the revenge arc and, to hear that it was never animated is just a complete letdown. (I do think it's a tad bit overrated in some areas... Just a tad.) I didn't mind the filler in the earlier parts of the series... (The only episodes I didn't really care for was the sumo and I think there were two dealing Yahiko and some girl. I want to say one of those was dealing with a circus act..) But still, to hear that Inuyasha is getting the remaining half of the manga animated and no Kenshin is just.... blah.
 
Fair, at least so far as DBZ season 3 goes, but I'd argue that Dragon Ball Kai is without a doubt that second chance. I mean, really, is there any doubt that will be licensed? Any doubt at all? No way.

...I liked the classic DB dub, actually...seemed to me like they knew what they were doing by the time they got around to that one.
 
Well, Z and Kai are still pretty seperate from each other. Kai has its own feel and musical score. I'd still love to see a proper redub of all of DB/Z/GT etc. with the proper script-work, rather than reusing the scripts written for the 96-98 dub (like what was done with 1-67 of DBZ).
 
Not the unique stories, they seem about on par with the quality of the original episodes. However, there was an arc of eight episodes (Endless Eight) that repeated the same day over and over (think Groundhog Day). Fans were hoping for a much more substantial story from the novels adapted for season 2 instead, and Endless Eight was a very short story in comparison. So, there's bitterness over that. They're supposedly guilty of reusing animation in Endless Eight too, but I haven't evaluated this for myself yet.

That said, it doesn't need a do over. It just neeRAB a third season to continue adapting the remaining content. I can't see them abridging Endless Eight, and in my opinion it would be a waste for KyoAni to pay it any further attention whatsoever. And if one hates it, I can't see why one would want them to.
 
*sigh* A redo of Code Geass R2. It got messed up and I want to know what the real story would have been.

Hopefully, we won't have to wait 10 years like Evangelion, to get a remake in a different storyline.
Oh and for all of you that hate Rolo, I say it could have been better if they showed him in a different light. Though it didn't stop me from become his fangirl!~
 
In terms of a proper re-run through the US, I'd love to see Escaflowne and Yu Yu Hukasho get some new life. Neither series had a proper full run in the US and they are some of the cream of the crop series out of Japan.

The animation still isn't pretty good comparable to whats running on US TVs these days.

In terms of a re-do / continuation:

Blue Gender: The series was pretty remarkable right up until the last episode and then we just got a "WTF, what happened?" ending that made no sense. Ok, it made some sense but they basically took a good 10 episodes of plot line and squished it into ... lets say, 5 minutes?

Yu Yu Hukasho: I throw my weight on this series again because there's a lot that can still be done with it. It had a nice ending, but honestly, I wasn't a fan of the Hell Tournament. I'd like to pretend the series stopped right before that and have an alternate ending.

Trigun: I guess its somewhat moot to bring this one up since we already know its coming, but I defiantly do wnat to see another series that follows the manga better.

Bleach / Naturo / Sailormoon: I'm gonna group these together along with any other series anyone can think of that has suffered from filler hell. Basically, I'd like to see a televised release of such series with *ALL* the filler chopped out. I'm not even talking re-animated, simply go through the series and cleanly chop out out the massive amounts of filler.

Imagine it, a Soul Society Arch that lasts no more then 20 episodes! A Mistress 9 arch that last 13 episodes! Naruto Shippudin without Guy on Guy action! >.>
 
I agree with you, there. The last episode of Blue Gender just felt WAY too rushed and condensed, as if it were mant to be told over the span of at least 2 or 3 more episodes. That said, I didn't mind some of the way things ended, like how things went down on the space station orbiting Earth at the end, but I really disliked the whole part where they into that site where the blue were disappearing to, at the end, as it just lead to a scene that felt completely pointless, to me, and actually also felt kind of boring to watch, making the ending seem quite a bit underwhelming, and hurting my overall opinion on the series, by a little bit. That said, I still enjoyed most of the series before the disappointing ending.

If it were ever remade, though, I'd like to see it remade with MUCH better animation. The animation of Blue Gender just felt so bland for me, and would have ruined the series for me if I wasn't a person who doesn't put a whole lot of importance on the quality of animation of a show as long as the story is good. Thankfully Blue Gender was at least able to deliver up on that part.



Actually, I personally felt that the final arc was going fine up until the tournament came up. I also liked the actual ending of the series, in terms of where things left off in the series. As for the tournament itself, though, I didn't care for it since no other tournament arc could top the DT arc for me (even if it was from the same series, like it is in this case), but it was extremely short so it didn't do a lot to hurt the series's overall amazing quality, for me. That's why I don't really mind if YYH never gets a remake (which it never will, anyways). But, I do agree that a remake of the last arc could be a good idea, if they kept the first half of it the same, but replaced the tournament with something much more interesting, like an actual war breaking out between the Three Kings of Demon World (which is actually what I really wanted to see happen, in the first place ).
