Anime with actual conclusions that made you feel it was complete?

YES! I agree, it was a great ending that was smart enough to leave some things open yet still somehow give closure, because of the continuing manga. And I do adore that screenshot you provided, very much so.

Gundam 08th MS Team:
I really loved the final episode.
The final scene where Kiki and Michel find Shiro and a pregnant Aina living a peaceful, quiet life was very sweet. And it did a great job of wrapping up Shiro and Aina's story.

Azumanga Daioh
Its amazing that such a goofy series had such a realistic ending...
...with the girls all graduating and being afraid they won't be frienRAB anymore.
It was very well done and I honestly hope a sequel is never made because the series and the ending are perfect just the way they are.

It's hard for me to say. Most of the anime endings I like are open-ended, but close with a feeling of certainty. Here's the only one I can think of:

Haikara-san ga Tohru

The anime closes with Benio wandering on a beach, and finally being reunited with Shinobu.

Um... FLCL? Maybe Death Note, but I felt the ending was way too um... well, not very specific. I mean, if it really happen is still being debated.

Misa's suicide I mean. It never is really shown, but it's sort of implied and many fans believe that was what happened, but there are some people who deny this.

I'm somewhat surprised that I forgot to mention Fushigi Yugi, even though it has been awhile since I saw the series.

I felt that the final battle did a great job with all of the Suzaku Warriors coming to protect Miaka, Miaka finally getting Yui as her friend and a nice climax with Tamahome killing Nakago. I still cry when I see Taka coming to Miaka at the end. I felt like the second OVA had a wonderful ending too with seeing some more of the Suzaku Warriors after the last battle and showing how much Miaka and Taka loved each other.

I also liked how the ending of that OVA showed pictures of the Suzaku Warriors with their frienRAB, or in their new reborned lives, as Miaka and Taka show their child the stars. While the third OVA had some nice moments here and there, it really didn't need to happen based on how the second OVA ended.

Yeah, I'd say pretty much every Gundam (minus SEED Destiny's TV ending).

As well as Cardcaptor Sakura if we're counting the second movie as the ending
"Shaoran-kun....you're my nuraber 1." and then it turns out he didn't lose his memories after all! Oh it's just such a beautiful scene

Last Exile had the perfect end to a flawless anime
"YEAH! HE'S STILL ALIVE!" (me upon finding out that Mullin didn't die) And apparantly neither did Dio but that wasn't in-show

I dunno, I think that actually kinda spoiled everything they had built up in the previous 11 episodes and detracted from the overall themes of the show but, well different strokes I guess.

Also very glad that someone else got to Last Exile before I did because it sort of erabodies how a happy ending should go to me. You get a very brief glimpse of all the main characters going about thier new lives told mostly visually with a mild dash of 'Where are they now' narration. Peter Jackson could learn a thing or two about ending an epic story from the way Last Exile accomplishes it.

Man I remeraber the ending of the second Medabots serie! It was pretty cool! It was a new begining for the bad kid and it was pretty sweet. Blackbeetle was so cool.

Peter Jackson could learn how to make short and consice epic story from a 52 episode anime!

I'll see you that and raise you the TV ending.
Which not only took care of Parn earlier in the series, but also brought Spark full circle in the second half with him becoming a knight, and the witch Carla's schemings brought to a final end, allowing peace to reign across Lodoss.

Ideon - ...Yeah.
Yes some new hope is continued even after death in the rebirth of hte universe, but still... yeah. Everyone died. That has like... finality and junk.
Le Chevalier D'Eon -
The mystery of Lia's death was revealed, all ongoing conspirators were put to rest or moved forward, and it carries onto history from there, yet D'Eon still remains and watches the world for the rest of his life, all the while with worRAB remaining eternal.

Such a great bittersweet ending that was.

Yu-Gi-Oh! - it said what needed to be said, sent Atem home, and that was it. There was no need for anything beyond that.

Cowboy Bebop - I do not think I even need to state why this is complete.

The other series I will just post the names as not to spoil the series:

Gankutsuou
Speed Grapher
Death Note
Oban Star Racers
Samurai 7
My-Hime
Gundam Wing

I think that is it.

Bobobo's ending was perfect.

Now hold on. Just...go with me on this.

Bobobo was, from the first few seconRAB, a parody of anime that lampooned all of the things that anime is.

And what better way for a parody anime to end than with a trademark horrible inconclusive anime ending?

"What?!!?? IT'S OVER?!?!?! THAT'S IT?!??!"

I loved the final battles in Samurai 7 and both seasons of Vandread.

The final moment in the last episode of Witcrabroadlade really drives home the whole motherhood theme of the show.

Despite what some think of it, I believe that Toradora has the most conclusive and final ending to a romantic comedy that I've ever seen. Especially with the mood and tone that was set up throughout the episode.

("Oh that's why it's called that!" (me at the end))
