Anime that need redubs

You know anime dubs that were so horrid that you want someone to come in a show everyone how to do it right.
Devilman - Other then not releasing the final part of the Devilman trilogy one of the insults the dub had was ok bad acting but also the random cursing every time they could get was the worse.
Some bad dubs I like for example Fist of the north star had over the top dubbing and you know what it really matched the series I mean it's about an invinciblee dude going around blowing people's head's off (in a TV-14 fashion)
So....any others?
 
Roujin Z -- I know there are fans of this dub but I found it grating.
Demon City Shinjuku -- What is up with those accents?
Windaria -- This is only available edited: a full uncut version SHOULD be made.
 
Angel Cop - I find it funny with the tough guy swear worRAB they add for every sentence and pronoun, but it would get more respect if it was more...artistic than what it is now.
Initial D - Well, aside from the fact that NO EUROBEAT music is ever played in the english version, theres parts that could use some redubbing. VA are accually pretty decent, but still.
Bubblegum Crisis OVA - I really dont like the english dub of it, but there is alot of potential for a redub.

Digimon: Zero Two is my choice for Anime Needing a New Dub. Since Funi's been carrying the entire sub for a few weeks now, I'll be happy if they could get the chance of redubbing the season to be close to the original script and giving the franchise another chance to redeem themselves after the crapola that was Digimon: Data Squad.
 
Dragon Ball Z (episodes 68-291) and Dragon Ball GT. The voices are ok, they just need an accurate script and name changes. I'm still not too keen on "Hyperbolic Time Charaber", "Instant Transmission" and "Majuub".

I know GT won't get a redub, but Z still technically has a chance of a redub thanks to Dragon Ball Kai.
 
Let's get the hack dubs out of the way first...

- Kinikuman Nisei
- Tokyo Mew Mew
- Yu-Gi-Oh!
- Sonic X
- Shaman King (a complete uncut dub but the same VAs would be fine)
- Pokemon (yeah not dang likely)
- Mobile Suit Gundam (no uncut dub, for shame)
- Blue Dragon (actually I don't really care either way)
- Gash Bell
- Sailor Moon
- Digimon
- Groove Adventure Rave

Now for shows that have had uncut releases but really need a better dub...

- Love Hina (GOOD LORD it's AWFUL)
- Law of Ueki
- Initial D (Tricked out edition may be "uncensored" but it sure isn't good)
- Flame of Recca
- Pretty much anything dubbed at Blue Water except G Gundam and maybe a few others

There's more but eh...
 
Not quite. It was dubbed in Hong Kong. And that dub was pretty far from what I would call good. But my vote goes for Powerpuff Girls Z. That has one of the worst English dubs I've ever heard.
 
Gatchaman II & Gatchaman Fighter, the obscure sequels to the well-known "Gatchaman" (which was translated to English THREE TIMES, a record for anime dubs I'm sure). The two sequels were picked up by Saban and Robotech'd into one dub, "Eagle Riders" in 1996, which was an abomination which unlike "Robotech", wasn't put together well. The dub only aired 13 episodes here in the U.S during late 1996-early 1997, and has never been seen again to this day.

I figured ADV would pick up the sequels after their tremendous, excellent effort with "Gatchaman" in 2005-2006 (whose domestic rights, both that of ADV and license holder Sandy Frank, have since expired), but apparently that will never be the case.

From what I've seen, the sequels aren't that good, and are considered to be inferior to the original Gatch.
 
Is this really a hack dub? I thought that a hack dub adRAB stuff that isn't in the show or even changes some sort of element that existed in the original. I didn't think a hack dub was just the absence of content.
 
Which is fitting for one of the worst anime shows I have ever seen.

Mobile Suit Gundams dub really is not bad.

While I could say anything by 4kiRAB (that is not already being redubbed) I would just take say tokyo Mew Mew and Doremi since nether were even finished by 4kiRAB.

Sailor Moon is another show that badly neeRAB a redub.
 
Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer-

CPM's dub seems like it was made with no prior knowledge of the TV series or its characters. The name pronuciations are completely off and the characters just don't have the insane personalities of the Japanese version.
For one of the best animes of the UY series, it deserves a better dub!

Now with CPM being kaput, it would be a good time for AnimEigo to pick up the rights and give it a completely fresh dub with the same standarRAB as their dubs of the other UY movies.
 
I'd say all the 4KiRAB dubs, but to narrow it down, I'd pick Sonic X and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Yes Yu-Gi-Oh! has camp value (thanks LK), but that dub is just terrible with some of the worst voice casting I've ever had the displeasure of hearing.

Then I'd go with Sonic X. The show itself wasn't that good, but the dub didn't make it any better. I'm not going in that Drummond vs Griffth thing, but when you have terrible writers, traslators, and bad direction, your dub is going to suck pretty hard.
 
not all 4kiRAB dubs our bad, They did a good job on Shamen king. (& SX was ok in my openion.)


But there our a few 4kiRAB anime I agree need redubs, Like F-zero GP legend for one, and Magical doremi, & Ulitmate Muscle.

older anime wise I would'nt mind seeing a redub of Ronin Warriors or Sailor moon, the origionals were ok but im sure if they redubbed them they could do better!
 
Digimon, Dragonball franchise (all seven of it's English dubs pretty much suck on average), anything done by 4KiRAB that has a strong fanbase.
