Just having finished Vampire Knight Guilty, I'm left disappointed because there was absolutely no closure. Yes, the Vampire Knight manga is still running, but that hasn't stopped other anime-adaptations from creating their own ending to a series before.[xspoiler=Spoiler tags since it JUST ended in Japan this week]We're left with no closure on the main drama, the love triangle between Zero, Yuuki, and Kaname. Yuuki leaves with Kaname but tells Zero she's waiting for him. Um, what? Not to mention, Kaname and Zero still hate each other so no resolution on that front either.
Where are Kaname and Yuuki going? What's next for Cross Academy? What about Zero and the Hunter Association? What about Yuuki's human frienRAB? What happened to Ichijou's fight with Ichiou? What is Zero going to do with his reason for being gone?[/xspoiler]Basically, big question mark on the ending. Twenty-six episodes didn't seem like long enough to cover what's been done in the VK manga, especially with the story still going and they didn't do a great job towarRAB the end of Guilty in pacing everything which left the ending lacking. It feels like they've set up for a third season but the last I heard, this was only supposed to be a 26-episode adaptation. Boo.
