Alright, *cough* I couldn't find any of these, so I'm making one. Actually, I just want to bitch about stuff I think is stupid.
First off, I love anime but it's all the same crap over and over again.
And what the hell is with this stupid 4kids and cartoon network completely ruining all of it!? I'm sorry, but if the manga is rated T, so should the anime.
And that means showing blood! :sword: Gasp! Like Naruto, for example, they can show this dramatic gory scene of stabbing his own hand. But getting a chidori/sword/pointy object through the chest gets nothing! OMG, little blood splats on the ground! The world just might die!
Also like Naruto, Bleach, Ranma 1/2, etc., THEY NEVER END! Naruto Shippuden itself has a 100 episode arc of nothing but filler! GAH! IT'S ANNOYING!
And Bleach, come on, at least try to make it realistic... And to quote myself on the manga:
Every other page is an action scene, and every other action scene, someone loses a limb, and every other time it happens, they get healed! WTF?
Seriously, what's the point?
And other thing, that shows up in every anime that has action: Why doesn't anybody ever die?!
Naruto got Chidori'd, Edward got impaled, Ichigo got nearly cut in half, Light got shot (several times), Kazuki got his heart ripped out, and of course, the classic I-just-got-killed-but-I'll-come-back-for-the-sake-of-the-plot.
I won't even comment on the retarded ones like Fruits Basket or Tokyo Mew Mew or Sailor Moon.
Seriously, there's no plot, all of the main characters are irritating females, all the male characters look like females, and the big special power thingy is love or happiness or some other really gay thing.
Why does nearly every single character have to have an angsty emo past? Boo Hoo, the main character's mommy died. Do you want us to cry?
And does anybody notice that any anime where the main character somehow gets super powers or abilities or whatever, they're always really weak until they have some kick-ass weapon that's really rare and then all of a sudden they get super strong and unbeatable?
Then they just go off an an adventure and totally beat the crap out of all the supposedly "super strong" people.
Now here's rants about specific anime:
Death Note
I believe that SilentReaper on DA has already covered the rant about "Gender Roles" and how all of the female characters in it are totally useless.
And why is it that people complain about yaoi fanfiction? hm?
All the females like Misa and Takada and Rem are completely stupid! They all get used by Light and die. Of course people are going to start turning to LxLight!
Naturally, because of conviniently placed time skips, people make up their own fillers about the time when Light is imprisoned and handcuffed to L.
What's with all the super geniuses? Dude, no one's that smart. And that smart person isn't familiar with loads more people with the same IQ.
Bleach
This little problem also goes for Buso Renkin and some other anime:
Main male character meets small warrior female character who is on a mission to fight a monster. Said male character tries to help and gets either himself or the female horribly injured. This results in the male character getting the same powers/abilities as the female.
Then the male character kills the afore mentioned monster with a huge weapon that comes with the new power. Then the two male and female characters go on some adventures killing the monsters. The female character is amazed at how skilled the male character suddenly gets.
Then, one of them is sentenced to be hunted down and killed by others with the same powers, while the other goes on a big emotional journey to get the other back. The adventure usually includes teaming up with enemies, revealing secrets to friends, and the giant weapon powering up and shrinking.
After the arc is finished, something happens to the main male character and he becomes part-evil monster thingy. Then goes another emotional adventure, which usually involves seeking help from the enemy, while the other good guys turn on the male character.
Doesn't that plot get a little old after a while?
Full Metal Alchemist
How often in anime does this happen?:
The main hero is really super amazing and powerful blah blah blah and has some crazy super powered non-human enemy blah blah blah.
They fight, the hero gets impaled, dies, another character revives them at the price of their own life, the hero comes back and goes all emo and angsty.
Annoying, right?
Naruto
All this anime ever does is repeat itself. Come on, think of something New!
Boo Hoo, everybody hates me but I'm really happy and annoying, I get in a lot of battles and stuff and I always be self-sacrificing and jump in front of people about to be stabbed, and I always help people even if they insult me, and I love ramen! Believe it!
Who's fucking idea was that? I'd take dattebayo over believe it any day.
English dub voices are ALWAYS crappy but I think Naruto just killed it. It's only second worse to the 4kids version of YuGiOh, which I won't even talk about. The sheer stupidity is that great.
I'd probably put down more, but I've gotta go. Maybe I'll pick this back up later.
And to anyone who wants to complain: Up Yours! :mfinger:
