I remember watching this anime movie after renting it from blockbuster many years ago (i wanna say 5-8 years), and remember bits and pieces like one of the main character was a guy with a sword and a typical chinese hat, and an older guy talking about seeing a god. And the god was in the form of an illuminated, i wanna say deer. The older guy was talking about it being a sin to look at the illuminated deer directly.
i think there was an empress too or something. Oh i remember it the movie having vulgar dialogue and violence.
So im not sure if that narrows anything down, but its been bothering me.
