Anime like Code Geass and Death Note?

I'm looking for anime like Code Geass and Death Note. One that you can't guess what the next move of the character will be, I find these very interesting. Also one that doesn't solve a problem in one episode (like Inuyasha or Cowboy BeBop)
 
Higurashi no naku koro ni.. i haven't seen death note but i think the themes are similar.
Umineko no naku koro ni which is similar Higurashi is kinda similar to code geass in trying to guess your opponent's next move.
