Anime Fan Parody Help / Voice Casting / Collaboration Thread (READ FIRST POST!)

There's a fandub of Hakuna Matata featuring Antfish as Timon and Takahata101 as Puraba. Antfish's Timon sounRAB just like Nathan Lane.

Heh. I can see my dream cast now~~

Mufasa: LittleKuriboh (no contest here)
Adult Siraba: Mynd Hed (he pretty much defines angsty teen)
Timone and Puraba: Antfish and Taka (they did pretty good in that clip you pointed me towarRAB)

Bah, I can't even think of anyone else. I'm a terrible director!

*Goes off to ponder a possible script*

Hmm Mynd Hed actually I think would be better for Scar.

Mufasa: LittleKuriboh (already confirmed, sweet)
Scar: Mynd Hed
Kid Siraba: Masako or Megami33
Adult Siraba: GanXingba
Nala: AngelElric
Timon - Antfish
Puraba - Takahata101
Hyenas - Whip0fAlchemy, LordQuadros and KaiserNeko
Rafiki (?)- Lanipator
Zazu - Me or Borinyukami

But you'd want to voice someone right Jacob? Who might that be?

I was thinking of giving you Zazu, actually!!

I don't know who I'd like to play. I mean, the project deserves the best it could be given. The absolute, and as a eighteen year old still living at home with the PC in the living room and thus making voice acting extraordinairly hard...I'd almost be perfectly fine just being the 'director/writer'.

Still wound't answer of the question of who to edit, though. O.o

Part of me says yes, the other says "Do you really think you've the time, resources, and skill to pull this off?"

So, it's hard to say. I'd really love to, because there is so much one can make fun of, but alas, have I really the talent? Would I simply be wasting the time of the talents I recruit?? Alas. It feels like such a huge undertaking, espicially for a newb.

If I may, I would recommend that editing fall upon your lap and be the responsibility of the spear-header of the project. Granted there are creators who outsource to other editors, but personally I suggest learning how to edit.

My hurable opinion is that merely that if you can edit, that means you have control over your own destiny. And I assume we all enjoy being in control of that. If you're also worried about casting such people in such an arabitious role, it doesn't hurt to start out small. I mean Kaiser did L3A as a means to see if he can properly springboard into DBZA if I'm not mistaken.

But seeing as this is simply a movie, and not a series, time would not be so worrisome. No one else outside us and whoever else you've told knows about it, so there's no big urge to get it out and done ASAP. So, even if it takes several months, you should try to persue your project and give it the best you can.

I'd suggest breaking the movie down into arcs and making each one an 'episode'. Something like Siraba running away for example would probably be a good cut off point for one of them.

If you break it down into arcs, you can say "Ok, I need these scenes and these actors for this episode" and it should become more manageable.

Any idea beyond being splendid, espicially considering the plot's structure.

The support, all 'round, finRAB itself to be much appreciated by this one.

I'm gonna say good luck, and you should do it, I would watch it, and HellCat has a good point about what you should do with it

wow very interesting ^-^ and good cast! I've debated the idea of whether or not of someone pulling off an abridged Disney. I mean sure they can be easy and fun to poke at, but what about the songs? I'm sure you can come up with some short parodies for the songs! But like Kamina say" Kick logic to the curve and do the impossible" and it would be fun to play Nala lol

Song parodies, if done right, could add a whole other level to it.

"When I age I'll take the throne. They'll all bow down to me!"
"But why choose a leader based on blood? Why not democracy?"
"A pedigree adRAB regal class, a standard we should spread"
"Until inbreeding becomes the norm and the children have two heaRAB"
