Anime Appreciation #3: Cuz they just look so cool!

I only have late night anime on Cartoon Network also. It's hard to watch it on weekdays though because of the late hours. I can only watch Case Closed on weekenRAB because it comes on at 5:30am. But I have Anime On Demand, and they have some pretty good stuff. I'm glad they had Descendents of Darkness episode 2. I've always wanted to see that.

Thats the one thing i love about TVo is that it can record all of the late night animes on Cartoon Network. Unfortunally, thats the only anime channel i have.

I met people who came from England to DragonCon and they've been for 4 years. It's crazy fun.

Martian Successor Nadesico is a sci-fi space/mech anime. I thought it was very cute and a little predictable but fun.

I finished Pretear and I love it. I got teary eyed in the last episode.

Yeah, it was interesting.

The second and third volume should come tomorrow from netflix.

Melissa, yeah you should try to see if it works out for you. I'm completely addicted to netflix. :lmao: I had the cheapest plan (1 DVD) and I just upgraded it to 3.

The Hub lost interest in Naruto and DNAngel because of the dubbing. I find it annoying but it grows on me after a while, especially if I don't watch subbed versions first.

We don't get the Anime channel but we do get Anime on Demand which is really, really odd. And the Cartoon Network airs some late at night.

I love Netflix. I had a friend, though, who ordered an anime and found out that it was hentai. He read the reviews and watched the preview and everything and noone mentioned that it was hentai. I find that funny!

It sounRAB sooo cool :D To bad its to far away for me.

I've heard of that anime. How is it?

Last night i watched the Naurto movie which was pretty good in away. I like the series better.

Ah! My Goddess. Cool. I'll try that one out.

Stefy, I like the theme song for DNAngel as well. I actually like the open sequence for it as well.

It's in Atlanta, GA and it's held every Labor Day weekend. www.dragoncon.org has all the info plus pictures of previous cons and previous guests. I forgot to mention they do books and cosplay. It's crazy and totally fun. There's anime panels and an anime room where they show anime around the clock for the whole 4 days or so.

I finally finished Martian Successor Nadesico. It's good. It kind of pokes fun at itself and the ending was good. It wasn't a happy everyone wins kind of ending but it was satisfying.

 There's "icontrol" (warner cable) and "OnDemand" (comcast cable) that has anime stuff on it, donno what it's called for others. And there is "Anime Network", but I don't know who has it.

I used to visit FF back when anime had it's own board, so this is strange...

I've seen half, or so, of DN Angel (dubbed) & I really liked it, but I'd like to see the whole thing + subbed as well. Also, I can't really get into Naruto... The dubbed voices bother me... then again, I've only seen 1 or 2 epps, so I'm going to give it another shot.

I am looking foward to, though, this Saturday's epp of InuYasha.

I think that's it ^^;

 I think there is an anime channel on cable because my friend said her mom got it because her mom likes anime.

I get a lot of my anime through netflix now. Netflix is awesome.

I have that one on my netflix list, but it's all the way at the bottom. I'll only start watching it in liek a few months. ;)

I just watched Volume 1 of DNAngel last week and I enjoyed it. I really liked the theme song too. It's so pretty and it has this sad vibe to it :)

Yep. It's the largest sci-fi/fantasy convention in the US (some say in the world). They have anything to do with sci-fi/fantasy such as tv shows, movies, comics, and manga and anime. They have gaming and LARPers. They have filking and goth stuff.
